Please note that for organisational reasons, you need to register separately for each event you would like to particpate in, also for those events included in the conference fee or in the registration fee for accompanying persons i.e. welcome cocktail.
WELCOME COCKTAIL

WINE and OLIVE OIL TASTING (not included in the conference fee)
Thursday 7th July
The vineyard Terre de Mistral is situated in the Provençal countryside, with the mont Sainte Victoire as a backdrop. It is a family-run business that produces red, white and rosé wines and also olive oils. There is a shop where you can purchase local produce such as tapenades etc. The wine-tasting will be accompanied by appetizer food-pairing
The registration fee will include transport to the vineyard, a guided tour and a wine-tasting and olive-tasting experience. the event will last approx. one and a half hours.

AIX-en-PROVENCE GUIDED WALKING TOUR (not included in the conference fee)
FRIDAY 8th July
Professional English-speaking tour guides will take us around the beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence. it will offer an oppoprtunity to "aixplore" the many hidden fountains and squares in the city and learn a little about its past. the tour will last approximlately an hour .
CONFERENCE DINNER (not included in the conference fee)
SATURDAY 9th July
The conference dinner will take place at the Orangerie Restaurant inside the hotel Aquabella https://www.aquabella.fr
The registration fee for the Conference dinner will include an aperitif in the garden area, with live music, a four-course meal, wine and coffee. The hotel is situated just by the old town and in walking distance of the university
CONFERENCE EXCURSION (not included in the conference fee)
SUNDAY 10th July
We will travel by coach from Aix to the pretty Provençal town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. On the outskirts are the remains of the Roman City of Glanum and the monastery Saint-Paul de Mausole where Vincent van Gogh was treated. The twon itself has a number of interesting shops and restaurants and a list of these will be provided. From there we will then go to Les carrières de Lumières for an immersive sound and light experience. You will be surrounded by the changing pictures and paintings of Venice, and Yves Klein Yves Klein, a major 20th century artist who wanted to make his life a work of art.. The images are projected onto the walls, floor and ceiling of the limestone cave, accompanied by a musical soundtrack. From there, we will walk to our final desintaion, the village of Les Baux-de-Provence perched high on a natural plateau (lesbauxdeprovence.com). The village is listed among the most beautiful villages in France and as an outstanding heritage site.
The registration fee for the excursion will include transport by coach to and from the sites.
