PALA 2020: Style and Sense(s)
Poster Presentation Guidelines
Dimensions:
Posters must be vertically oriented and adhere to the following dimensions: A0 (841mm x 1189mm).
Preparing Your Display, what should be included?
Your display should include the title of your presentation, in large letters (e.g., at least 1 inch tall or 72 point).
The display should also include: your name and affiliation, and abstract of your topic, your data or information (including charts, tables and graphs), and a summary or conclusion.
Tips on Creating Effective Poster Presentations:
- Catch their Attention: Use clear and appealing title or header that captures the main focus of your poster.
- Identify Yourself: Don’t forget to indicate who you are, your credentials, and where you’re from.
- Keep it Simple: Poster materials should be bullets of information that excite, engage, summarize, dramatize.
- Use Graphics: Use graphs, charts, tables, pictures, and coloured text instead of text to illustrate key points.
- White Space: Leave plenty of room to rest the eyes.
- Stand Back: Everything on your poster should be legible from three feet away.
